Family Summer Fun in San Antonio 

The hot dog days of summer have arrived in San Antonio! San Antonio parents are always searching for new and cool ways to entertain their kiddos during the long summer days. Fret no longer because Best SA Homes has compiled a Summer “To-Do List” filled with fun activities to keep your children entertained, no matter the age. This is your chance to put on your fun shoes and get out of the house to enjoy the many wonderful adventures our beautiful city has to offer!

Activities for Toddlers 

  1. San Antonio Zoo: Eagle Train – Enjoy a relaxing train ride around beautiful Brackenridge Park
  2.  Hemisfair Park: Yanguana Garden – test your child’s strength on the many play structures, play in the sand pit, make a splash in the splash pad, or sit down and relax next to beautiful mosaic art.
  3. San Antonio Public Library: Toddler Time – enjoy quality time with your toddler with singing, clapping, finger playing, story time, and playing with toys!

Activities for Kindergarteners 

  1. San Antonio Botanical Gardens: Story Book Houses Exhibit – explore storybook castles like the one in Sleeping Beauty, view plants and flowers from all  4corners of the world, and discover butterflies and birds.
  2. McKenna Children’s Museum: Visit New Braunfels interactive museum with indoor exhibits, water play, and special exhibits.
  3. The Magik Theatre: enjoy a wonderful play: Charlotte’s Web, La Cinderella, and Treasure Island.

Activities for Elementary School Kids 

  1. Institute of Texan Cultures: Learn the stories of Texas immigrants from around the world that settled in Texas and helped mold the beautiful state.
  2. Santikos: Free Summer Movies – Visit a Santiko’s theatre every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 am and catch a family-friendly movie.
  3. San Antonio River Walk: Art Installations – Start at the Pearl and take an afternoon stroll down the San Antonio River.

  1. Six Flags Fiesta Texas: Let your hair run will and enjoy one of the many roller coasters at San Antonio’s theme park.
  2. San Antonio Museum of Art: Witness the largest collection of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art in the Southern U.S.
  3. The Rollercade: Spin around the rink and show off your coolest moves!
  4. Ice and Golf Center at Northwoods: take your kids for an ice adventure and you are sure to be the coolest parent (pun intended)!
